What is Campstream and how does it work?
Campstream is an adapter that captures and redirects airflow from the dashboard of your EV. This makes it possible to enjoy the car’s HVAC system in your tent.
What type of vehicle does this work on?
The Campstream is designed for electric vehicles. Check the availability and supported models in the product description.
Does this work on regular gas/diesel cars?
Technically it could work with a gas or diesel car, but we strongly suggest using other HVAC methods because the AC of gas and diesel cars cannot be run separately from the main engine. Using the Campstream with a gas or diesel car is a risk for your health and the environment.
Does this work on any tent?
Yes, however, the better the insulation of the tent is, the more efficient the heating or cooling will be!
Will Campstream work in extreme weather conditions such as a winter storm?
Yes! Campstream has been tested at -12c and maintained 20-21c temperature inside a tent over a 8 hours. However, extreme temperatures can impact battery consumption.
Does the Campstream have an integrated battery and fan system?
No. The Campstream is an adapter that only transports air from the EV’s dashboard in an efficient manner.
How is this different from a diesel or electric heater?
The major difference between Campstream and a diesel or electric heater is that Campstream utilizes the properties of your EV’s HVAC system. This means that you can enjoy warm, cool, and simultaneously dry air. Diesel and electric heaters can only produce warm air, in addition to needing a separate power source. Campstream works together with your EV!
Can Campstream be used on multiple tents at the same time?
Right now Campstream is designed to support one tent. However, it is technically possible to get air into multiple tents with multiple hoses. Of course, energy efficiency would be lower when doing this.

What is included in the Campstream Essentials package?
In the Campstream Essentials package you will find the window unit, the inner and outer hoses, the hose case, and the high flow kit.
Can it be used on any window of the car?
No. It must be used with the driver side front window on Tesla Model 3, and the passenger side front window on Rivian R1T/R1S.
Can it be used on right side steering wheel cars? (UK, Australia, etc.)
Yes, the Campstream can be used with right-hand traffic EV’s.
Are there any special maintenance for the Campstream One?
Treat it like your tent. Let it dry if it's wet and never store it wet. Clean it with a non-abrasive sponge, cold water, and non-detergent soap if it's dirty.
How much energy does the Campstream One consume to heat or cool tent?
On average it consumes 1kW per hour. Consumption also depends on the desired temperature difference between the inside and outside spaces. In other words, the greater the difference in temperature between the outside and the inside, the more it will consume.
